Full Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival and Reception

On your arrival at Entebbe airport you will be met and warmly received by our representative who will take you to your hotel and relax from the fatigue of the flight . Depending on your arrival time there are optional activities available for you ; a nature walk in the botanical gardens on the shores of lake Victoria for monkeys and bird watching . The plants and trees in the park provide a beautiful scenery . You can also take a walk and visit craft shops with beautiful artcraft in Entebbe .

After breakfast drive to the source of River Nile – the most famous river in the world . Enjoy a boat cruise as you experience wonders of the longest river in the world leaving lake Victoria – the largest lake in Africa . Proceed eastwards to the foothills of mount Elgon as you enjoy views of sugar cane , tea , coffee and rice plantations on your way . Visit the charming sipi falls as you hike the slopes of mount Elgon .

Today you will go to Pian Upe National Park where you will do a game drive to search for cheetahs , hyenas , jackals , leopards , lions , giraffes , zebras , elands , buffalos , antelopes especially Roan which is only found in this protected area and birds like the ostrich which is the largest bird in the world. Then proceed to Moroto for overnight .

After breakfast you will visit Nakapelimoru village , considered to be the largest traditional village in East Africa . Interact with the native Karimojong herdsmen and experience their day to day living. Then proceed to Kidepo national park where you will do a game drive in search of lions , cheetahs , leopards , hyenas , giraffes , elephants , buffalos e.t.c

Today you will spend the whole day in Kidepo valley national park. You will do game drives in Narus valley and the Kidepo valley in search of lions ,leopards ,cheetahs , hyenas , elephants , giraffes , buffalos , elands , zebras , antelopes and birds especially the ostrich, the largest bird in the world and secretary bird .

After breakfast today you will transfer to the Great Murchison Falls National Park , – the biggest in Uganda , with a stop over in Gulu for lunch . On arrival begin an evening safari and check in in your hotel for overnight .

After breakfast begin a safari in search of giraffes , elephants , lions , leopards , hyenas , buffalos , jackals , antelopes e . t . c . In the afternoon you will have a boat ride on river Nile for a close observation of hippos , crocodiles and other wild animals which come to drink water or cool themselves in the Nile. There is also a possibility to see the African fish eagle and other bird species as you proceed to the bottom of the Murchison falls .

Today you are going to drive for about 8 hours to Kibale national park via the most powerful water fall in the world– Murchison falls, there is a lot more to see during the journey : the landscape of the Western rift valley with lake Albert and escarpments in the Democratic Republic of Congo , sugar , coffee and tea plantations , fields with lots of food crops and a lot more.

Today you are going to track chimpanzees in their natural habitat . An exciting exercise ! The chimpanzees are the animals most related to human beings. They are habituated for tourism and can be observed at a close distance . The activity is guided by rangers who explain the life of chimpanzees and other animals that you may see , as well as different plants in the forest . You are expected to carry drinking water, a rain coat , a mask and to wear long sleeved clothes , trousers and hiking shoes. An insect repellant is also important . In the afternoon you will visit the local community to interact with the people and experience their way of living to learn how they make juice , beer and gin from bananas , how they grow and process coffee locally . You will also be entertained by an association of women who make art craft from natural materials . Then return to hotel .

After breakfast proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park , one of Uganda’s most beautiful game parks due to its rich eco system . On the way you will enjoy the view of beautiful sceneries of the Rwenzori mountains on the border with D.R Congo , crater lakes and Africa’s landscapes with plantations of bananas , coffee , tea , cotton and a variety of Uganda’s subsistence crops in fields . After lunch you will do a boat safari on Kazinga canal which links lake George in the East and lake Edward in the West , shared by Uganda and D.R Congo . During the boat safari you will see many hippos at a close distance , crocodiles , monitor lizards ,many animals that come to the canal to drink water and a variety of birds.

Take early breakfast , then begin your safari early for better chances of viewing predators like lions , hyenas and leopards . The park is considered to be the most beautiful due to its rich ecosystem . It also shelters other animal species like elephants , buffalos , kobs , crocodiles , hippos ,antelopes , warthogs e.t.c and more than 600 species of birds. Then proceed to the southern part of the Queen Elizabeth park ( Ishasha ) , famous for the tree lions .The journey is long and goes through savannah grasslands and forest . Enjoy the view of elephants , buffaloes , antelopes , monkeys and many bird species on the way.

This day you will have a morning safari in search of tree lions , hyenas , leopards , elephants , buffaloes , topis , then have lunch and proceed to Bwindi national park-the home of the famous endangered mountain gorillas . Enjoy the view of highlands with beautiful villages and plantations of tea , bananas , pine and eucalyptus trees . Proceed to the hotel and relax for the following day’s Gorilla tracking .

Today’s experience is the climax in your journey ; you are going to meet the famous “ mountain gorillas” .The tracking is done in a thick forest with slopes and valleys – another adventure for your physical fitness ! After briefing by Park rangers you will begin the tracking in groups of 8 people each , accompanied by professional rangers . You need to be physically fit for the walk which may last from two to eight hours. Don’t forget to carry enough drinking water , packed lunch a mask and a rain coat. You are also supposed to wear long sleeved shirt or blouse , trouser and hiking shoes. Insect repellants are also necessary . After the tracking you will proceed to Kisoro , a border town near Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.

This day you have another opportunity to track another type of primates ! This time it’s “ Golden monkeys “ in Mgahinga national park . Enjoy the tracking as you observe the charming and exciting beautiful monkeys at a short distance . In the afternoon you will visit the Batwa pigmy community who will entertain you with their traditional songs and dance, and demonstrate their former life skills in the forest .

Today you will drive to Lake Mburo national park . After check- in you will go for an evening game drive. The park is famous for its large number of zebras and impalas . It has also giraffes , buffalos , topis , bush bucks , hyenas , leopards and the biggest type of antelope called “ Eland “ as well as birds .

This day you will do a morning safari on foot –( nature walk ) guided by a professional ranger . The walk will provide the opportunity to observe giraffes , zebras and impalas at short distance – very impressive ! , then drive to Entebbe with a stop over at the Equator for photos , souvenirs and lunch. Then proceed to the Airport for your flight back home .
