Day 1 : Entebbe City Tour

On your arrival, you will be met and warmly received by our representative, who will take you to your first hotel for accommodation and to relax from the fatigue of the flight. Depending on your arrival time, there are optional activities available for you: a nature walk in the botanical gardens on the shores of Lake Victoria for monkeys and bird watching. The plants and trees in the park provide a beautiful scenery. You can also take a walk and visit craft shops with beautiful art and crafts in Entebbe.

After breakfast, proceed to Kibale National Park, one of Uganda’s most beautiful forest parks. On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Africa’s landscapes, plantations of bananas, coffee, tea, and a variety of Uganda’s subsistence crops in fields. After check-in, you have the option of doing a community walk to experience the life of the local people.

This day you are going to track  chimpanzees in Kibale forest park , an exciting exercise . The chimpanzees are the animals most related to human beings. They are habituated for tourism and can be observed at a close distance . The activity is guided by rangers  who explain the life of chimpanzees and other animals that you may see , as well as different plants. You are expected to carry drinking water , a rain coat , a mask and  to wear long sleeved clothes , trousers and hiking shoes . Insect repellants are also necessary .

This day you will travel across Queen Elizabeth southwards to Bwindi National Park.  Enjoy the view of endless landscapes of savannah with elephants, buffalo, topis, and kobs antelopes grazing among other animals, then proceed to Bwindi National Park – the home of the famous endangered “Mountain Gorillas “. A real thick tropical forest in the mountainous region of South West Uganda. You will enjoy its perfect nature.

Today’s experience is the climax of your journey; you are going to meet the famous “ mountain gorillas”. The tracking is done in a thick forest with slopes and valleys – another adventure for your physical fitness. After a briefing by Park rangers, you will begin the tracking in groups of 8 people each, accompanied by professional rangers. You need to be physically fit for the walk, which may last from two to six hours. Don’t forget to carry enough drinking water, a packed lunch, a raincoat, and a mask. You are also supposed to wear long-sleeved clothes, trousers, and hiking shoes. Insect repellants are also necessary.

After breakfast today, you will travel to the airport for a flight back home, with a stopover at the Equator for photos, souvenirs, and a Coriolis experiment on Earth’s rotation.
