Private Safari
– On your arrival you will be met and warmly received by our representative who will take you to your first hotel for accommodation and to relax from fatigue of the flight . Depending on your arrival time there are optional activities available for you ; a nature walk in the botanical gardens on the shores of lake Victoria for monkeys and bird watching . The plants and trees in the park provide a beautiful scenery . You can also take a walk and visit craft shops with beautiful art craft in Entebbe .
After breakfast you will travel towards northwest with a stop over at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary – a project intended to reintroduce rhinos in Uganda after their extinction through poaching in 70’s and 80’s . experience ! Guided by a ranger on foot you will observe the giant rhinos in their natural habitat at a short distance – a wonderful experience ! Then you will have lunch and proceed to the great Murchison falls national park , the biggest national park in Uganda . Visit the top of the great Murchison falls on the river Nile (The most powerful in the world ! ) Then proceed to your hotel .
After breakfast begin a safari in search of giraffes , elephants , lions , leopards , hyenas , buffalos , jackals , antelopes e . t . c. In the afternoon you will have another safari on boat on river Nile for close observation of hippos , crocodiles and other land animals which come to drink water or cool themselves on the Nile. There is also possibility to see the African fish eagle and other bird species as you proceed to the lower part of the Murchison falls . Then return to hotel and relax .
Today you are going to have approximately 7 hour drive , but there is a lot to see during the journey : the landscape of the Western rift valley with lake Albert and escarpments in the Democratic Republic of Congo , sugar , coffee and tea plantations , fields with lots of food crops and a lot more. On arrival you are going to track for chimpanzees in Kibale forest park , an exciting exercise . The chimpanzees are the animals most related to human beings. They are habituated for tourism and can be observed at a close distance . The activity is guided by rangers who explain the life of chimpanzees and other animals that you may see , as well as different plants in the forest . You are expected to carry drinking water , a rain coat , a mask and to wear long sleeved clothes , trousers and hiking shoes.
After an early breakfast this day you will travel to Bwindi National park , the home of the famous mountain gorillas. Enjoy the view of highlands with beautiful villages and plantations of tea , coffee , bananas , pine and eucalyptus trees . Proceed to the hotel and relax for the following day’s Gorilla tracking .
Today’s experience is the climax in your journey ; you are going to meet the famous “ mountain gorillas” .The tracking is done in a thick forest with slopes and valleys – another adventure for your physical fitness . After briefing by Park rangers you will begin the tracking in groups of 8 people each , accompanied by professional rangers . You need to be physically fit for the walk which may last from two to eight hours. Don’t forget to carry enough drinking water , packed lunch a rain coat and a mask . You are also supposed to wear long sleeved clothes , trousers and hiking shoes . After the strenuous gorilla tracking you will proceed to a hotel on Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation .
– Today you will have approximately 9 hour drive to Entebbe airport with a stop over at the Equator for photos , souvenirs and lunch , then proceed for your flight back home .
